Women's Gymnastics to Hold Open Practice Sept. 2

NORMAN  Fans are invited to come watch the two-time defending NCAA National Champion Oklahoma women's gymnastics team in an open practice on Saturday, Sept. 2. The practice, which is free and open to the public, will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center.

Fans in attendance will be able to get the first look at the 2018 Sooners. Donuts will be available for fans on a first-come, first-serve basis. The team will also sign autographs for 30 minutes from noon to 12:30 p.m.

The team will participate in training skills and choreography on all four events during the practice session.

OU returns five gymnasts who combined for 10 All-America honors in seniors Stefani Catour and A.J. Jackson, junior Nicole Lehrmann and sophomore Maggie Nichols.

The Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center is located north of the Lloyd Noble Center by the intersection of S. Jenkins Ave. and Imhoff Ave. Parking is available behind the gym (accessible via Asp Ave.), or across the street at the Lloyd Noble Center.
