NORMAN — By virtue of his all-around title at the P&G Championships Saturday night, OU men's gymnastics junior Yul Moldauer earned a spot on the U.S. Men's Team for the 2017 World Championships, USA Gymnastics announced Sunday.

Joining Moldauer as representatives of the United States at the World Championships Oct. 2-8 in Montreal will be Sam Mikulak, Donnell Whittenburg, Eddie Penev, Marvin Kimble and Sooner alumnus Alex Naddour.

2017 OU graduates Allan Bower and Colin Van Wicklen have also been named alternates for the squad.

The U.S. Men's Team was finalized by the Men's Program Committee, with selection based on performances at the P&G Championships this weekend.

Moldauer claimed the all-around national title Saturday night at the P&G Championships in Anaheim, Calif. The Arvada, Colo., native also won the 2017 American Cup and 2017 Winter Cup earlier this year.

Naddour won the individual event title on the pommel horse with a score of 30.550. Bower took second in the all-around, while Van Wicklen finished sixth in the all-around.
