Meet the Freshmen

NORMAN – This fall, the Oklahoma soccer team is joined by seven freshmen in McKinley Crone, Darbey Hargrove, Paige Hobart, Kacie Kinley, Emma Ledbetter, Hannah Molone and Erika Yost.
"This signing class shows the growth of the program and the foundation that we have now set for the future," OU head coach Matt Potter said when the talented group signed in February. "We are recruiting players that fit. We have replaced pieces of the program that we felt needed addressing. Our intent is to continue building, and with a proven product, we are now recruiting families and student-athletes that represent the values and style of play we feel can be successful.
"They all come from established and successful youth environments," he continued about the newest members of the program. "Well coached, better people. I'm excited too see the impact of our newest members, and how they compliment and make the current group better."
Get to know the seven student athletes who will make an immediate impact on OU soccer. They will join the Sooners at their regular season opener on Friday against Arizona at 7 p.m. CT at the OU Soccer Complex.

Why I chose Oklahoma: OU has a huge athletic history, and when I came on campus I felt this and knew I wanted to be a part of it.

Why I chose Oklahoma: It's close but not too close to home. I've always been an OU fan and supporter, I love the campus, I love the family feel of the team, and also my sister is here with me.
