Upcoming Event: Women's Basketball versus North Carolina on November 2, 2026 at TBA

NORMAN – Since arriving on campus in June, Mandy Simpson has fit in perfectly with the OU women's basketball program.
OU head coach Sherri Coale puts it simple terms.
“Discovering Mandy Simpson was like finding the perfect black dress,” Coale explained. “I just watched her play and I knew she would always make us better. Her play would cover our flaws and her 'way' would continually put us in the best place for potential success. This kid plays basketball with her whole heart."
From early in the summer, Simpson's relentless nature on the boards and her understanding of the game has been on display in OU's practice sessions.
"You notice Mandy's hustle every day," Ortiz said of Simpson. "She is always driving to the boards to get rebounds and she just shows grit."
