NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's golf team returns to the course this weekend in San Antonio, Texas, for the 2016 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship. The nine-team event will be played Friday-Sunday at the par-72, 6,263-yard Dominion Country Club.
Oklahoma is coming off the Bedlam Cup match-play event with Oklahoma State. Sophomore Hannah Wood continued her strong sophomore season with a win over No. 36 Maddie McCrary, +2, in the afternoon's matches.
The Sooners are the No. 7 seed in the championship and will tee off on Friday at 10 a.m. with No. 8 Kansas State and No. 9 Kansas.

The par-72, 6,263-yard Dominion Country Club will serve as the host site for the 2016 Big 12 Championship.
FORMAT
Teams will compete in 54 holes of stroke play over three days (18 holes each Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
BIG 12 HISTORY
The Sooners have collected three Big 12 titles with the most recent coming in 2014 when the squad fired a Big 12 tournament record 861 (-3). Then-senior Chirapat Jao-Javanil secured the individual title by carding a 209 (-7). Oklahoma's other conference championships came in 2000 and 2012.
