FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 9/9 Oklahoma (35-7) extended its winning streak to a season best 10 games following a 3-1 win Wednesday night over Arkansas (17-29) at Bogle Park.

The 10-game winning streak is the longest for Oklahoma this season and its longest since a 12-game win streak from March 22 to April 11, 2015.

The victory also marked the seventh straight for OU over the Razorbacks and outscored them 74-13 in the process. The Sooners are now 21-2 all-time against Arkansas, including an 8-1 advantage in Fayetteville.

Wednesday night's game was played in front of announced crowd of 1,531. Comprised of a large number of Sooners fans, it was the largest home crowd in Arkansas softball history.

After posting a 4.45 earned run average during two appearances over the weekend against Texas, sophomore Paige Parker was back to her dominant self Wednesday.

She struck out eight and walked none while giving up a lone unearned run on four hits. Her record now stands at 21-3 on the season.

After two scoreless innings, the Sooners eventually broke through in the third inning.

Senior Erin Miller started the inning by hitting a grounder to Madison Yannetti at shortstop, which was misplayed for an error. A pair of groundouts then advanced Miller to third. Senior Kady Self walked to put runners on the corners, before freshman Caleigh Clifton delivered the clutch hit. She hit a line drive single that clipped the glove of a leaping Parker Pocklington at second base, scoring Miller from third for Clifton's 29th RBI of the season.

Miller was 1-3 at the plate to extend her hitting streak to 10 games, tying a career long mark set last season.

Arkansas threatened to tie the game in the fourth when Nicole Schroeder hit a one-out double, but Parker kept the Razorbacks off the board with back-to-back strikeouts.

OU tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning.

With two outs, Clifton drew a five-pitch walk to keep the inning alive. Fellow freshman Fale Aviu made Arkansas pay for the free pass when she launched a two-run homer to right field. It was her seventh home run of the year, and it extended the OU lead to 3-0.

Aviu was 2-4 at the plate in the game as she also singled in the third. She was one of seven Sooners to collect a hit in the win.

Shelby Hiers hit a leadoff double in the sixth as Arkansas looked to rally. Parker had other ideas, however. She got a foul out and consecutive strikeouts to keep the Sooners on top.

Arkansas finally cracked the scoreboard in the seventh when Loren Krzysko reached on an error with one out, took second on a wild pitch and came around to score when a wild pitch strikeout resulted in a putout at first base.

Oklahoma stays out of conference this weekend when it travels to Knoxville, Tenn., for the Tennessee Classic. In a change from the original schedule, OU now faces the Lady Volunteers on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Oklahoma then takes on Radford at 3:30 p.m. before finishing the tournament Sunday at 11 a.m. against Lipscomb.
