OU in Sixth after Two Rounds at the Maxwell

ARDMORE, Okla. – The No. 20 Oklahoma men's golf team sits in sixth place after the first two rounds of the Maxwell. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being played at the par-70, 6,586-yard Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club.
The Sooners fired a 280 (E) in the first round and a 283 (+3) in the second to total a 563 (+3) Saturday.
Texas, who is ranked No. 1 by Golfweek/Sagarin, leads the 11-team field with a two-round 547 (-13). No. 29 Baylor is in second with a 552 (-8), and No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 33 New Mexico are tied for third at 554 (-3). No. 45 Memphis sits in fifth with a 557 (-3).
Junior Max McGreevy leads OU with an overall 137 (-3), putting him in a tie for fourth individually. The Edmond, Okla., native recorded a 66 (-4) on the first 18 holes, tying for the best of the round and pocketing three birdies and an eagle. McGreevy carded two more birdies in the second round and totaled a 71 (+1).
Sophomore Grant Hirschman is tied for 22nd with a 141 (+1). Opening the tournament with a birdie, Hirschman fired a 70 (E) in the first round and a 71 (+1) in the second.
In a tie for 28th place is freshman Blaine Hale, who recorded a 143 (+3) on Saturday. Hale improved between the first and second rounds, totaling a 73 (+3) and a 70 (E), respectively.
One stroke behind Hale is classmate Brad Dalke, who holds a share of 37th. He also began the tournament with a 73 (+3), and Dalke ended the second round with a 71 (+1).
Senior Luke Kwon rounds out the Sooner team lineup, sitting in a tie for 45th with a 145 (+5). He opened the day with a 71 (+1). Despite carding a birdie and an eagle early in the second round, Kwon finished the round with a 74 (+4).
Senior Beau Titsworth, sophomore Rylee Reinertson and freshman Aaron Terrazas are all competing as individuals and are unattached from team scoring. Titsworth is in a tie for 52nd with a 147 (+7) after recording a 76 (+6) and a 71 (+1) in the first and second rounds, respectively.
Reinertson and Terrazas each hold a piece of 62nd place at 149 (+9). Reinertson totaled a 77 (+7) in the first round and a 72 (+2) in the second, and Terrazas fired a 75 (+5) and a 74 (+4).
The final round of the Maxwell is scheduled to begin Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The Sooners will tee off from hole No. 6, and live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
