NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma baseball team plays the final game of its 10-game, 15-day road swing with a 6:00 pm first pitch at Little Rock on Tuesday, March 29.
The Sooners were swept in their Big 12-opening series at Texas Tech over the weekend to run their streak to four straight losses after six consecutive wins. Oklahoma is 11-13-1 overall and led offensively by junior shortstop Sheldon Neuse at .398. Neuse is slugging .693 with a .505 on-base percentage and a team-leading 20 runs batted in. Junior first baseman Austin O'Brien is hitting at .308 and slugging .487 since entering the lineup on a regular basis over the last three weeks. Freshman center fielder Steele Walker has seen his batting average rise 99 points over his 10-game hit streak, which he is hitting .325 (13-for-14), to .247 overall.
Little Rock is 12-11 overall, riding a six-game win streak and 9-4 at home under second-year head coach Chris Curry. Left fielder Ryan Scott is hitting a team-high .489 with seven home runs, 34 RBI and 30 runs scored with a .844 slugging percentage. Right fielder Dalton Thomas is second at .400 and slugging .547, while catcher Cameron Knight is at .347. The Trojans' pitching staff owns a collective 5.79 earned run average and allowed 15 home runs to the Little Rock offense's 12.

Craig Aikin collected a school-record six hits as Oklahoma rolled to a 22-0 win over Little Rock on March 3, 2015. The Sooners totaled 23 hits on the day to produce its highest offensive output since 2011. Aikin went 6-for-7 with six RBI and four runs scored with his only career home run. Oklahoma jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. Right-hander Corey Copping got the win in five-scoreless innings with a career-high seven strikeouts. Sheldon Neuse went 3-for-3 with five RBI, including a three-run homer.
Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Little Rock, 23-6, and snapped a three-game losing streak to the Trojans with a 22-0 win at home in 2015. The Sooners, who have played Little Rock on the road only once, are 22-6 at home and 8-4 against the Trojans since 2004.
The Sooners are 9-11 in the first Big 12 match-up of the season after a 5-0 loss at Texas Tech (3/24/15). Oklahoma lost the series to the Red Raiders to mark the first series loss in the first Big 12 weekend since 2012 against Texas. OU won its first Big 12 game in the league opener vs. Iowa State (3/7/97), 7-4.
