NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team's four-match homestand continues with a 7 p.m. match-up against Iowa State at McCasland Field House on Wednesday night. The match will serve as the team's annual Military Appreciation night ahead of Friday's Veteran's Day holiday.

The Sooners enter Wednesday's contest with a 13-11 record and sit at 4-7 in Big 12 play. Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Enneking, coming off her fifth double-double of the season, leads OU with 225 kills, while averaging 3.00 per set to go with 2.36 digs, which ranks third on the team. Senior middle blocker Micaela Spann is hitting a team-leading .385 with 2.41 kills and 0.72 blocks per set. Junior middle blocker Marion Hazelwood is second in hitting at .305 to go with 2.53 kills and a team-leading 1.14 blocks per set average. She hit .448 with a team-high 16 kills against No. 4 Kansas on Saturday. As a team, Oklahoma ranks second in the league with a .252 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Audrey Alford is guiding the Sooner attack with an 11.21 assists per set average; ranking third in the Big 12.

After a 1-4 start to Big 12 play, Iowa State has won six of its last seven matches, including four in a row to bring a 14-9 overall and 6-5 Big 12 record to Norman. Jess Schaben leads the Cyclone hitters with a 3.41 kills per set average to go with 2.38 digs. Alexis Conaway hits at a team-high .331 clip on 2.04 kills per set, while Morgan Kuhrt is second in kills at 2.16.  Hali Hillegas took over the libero spot for ISU this season and averages a team-leading 3.58 digs per set. Iowa State is hitting a collective .236, while holding opponents to a .184 average.

Last Time They Met

Iowa State earned a 3-1 win over Oklahoma at home on October 31, 2015. The Cyclone win came by scores of 25-22, 2-25, 25-15 and 25-23. OU libero Rachel Manriquez won set two for the Sooners with a service ace. She spent her freshman season as a redshirt defensive specialist for Iowa State in 2014. Alexis Conaway led all players with 17 kills and Caitlin Nolan picked up 27 digs for Iowa State. Oklahoma setter Julia Doyle registered her fifth double-double of the season with 42 assists and 10 digs.

All-Time vs. Iowa State

Despite falling in each of the last five match-ups, Oklahoma leads the all-time series against Iowa State, 44-33.  The Sooners last won on October 5, 2013. It was a five-set Oklahoma win over the No. 25 Cyclones. Keila Rodriguez led all players with 19 kills in the win. The series started in 1976 with a 2-0 OU win that started the longest winning streak in series history; six matches.

By the Numbers: OU vs. ISU

Marion Hazelwood has totaled double-digit kill totals in all four matches against Iowa State in her career by hitting .360 or better in each. She is hitting a collective .398, including a .429 attack rate with 12 kills at home in 2015. Defensively, Hazelwood averages 0.94 blocks per set. Madison Ward averages 2.95 kills and 3.14 digs per set in five matches against the Cyclones. She has posted three double-doubles plus a 23-dig effort in Ames last season.

Sooners Dig It

Oklahoma is the only team in the league with two players among the Big 12's top-10 digs per set leaders. Outside hitter Kimmy Gardiner is tops on the Sooners' back row with 3.40 digs per set that ranks eighth in the conference. Rachel Manriquez is ninth at 3.39. Oklahoma last had a libero-outside hitter combo on the Big 12 leaderboard in 2013 when Taylor Migliazzo ranked fifth at 3.94 and Keila Rodriguez eighth at 3.24.

The Home Crowd

The Sooners hosted No. 4 Texas in front of a crowd of 1,874 at McCasland Field House on September 28. It marked the seventh largest home crowd in program history. Each of the Sooners' last four home matches against the Longhorns ranks in the top-10 for home attendance. Oklahoma hosted its second four-digit home crowd of the season against No. 4 Kansas (11/5) with 1,052 fans in attendance.
