NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team's four-match homestand concludes with a 6 p.m. match-up against Texas Tech at McCasland Field House on Saturday evening. The match will be the final Fan Appreciation Day of the season with free admission.

The Sooners come into the midweek matchup at 14-12 overall and a 5-8 record in Big 12 play. Senior middle blocker Micaela Spann is first on the team and second in the league with a .368 hitting percentage and 2.45 kills per set. Junior middle blocker Marion Hazelwood is second on the team at .315 with 2.64 kills and a team-leading 1.17 blocks per set average. Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Enneking averages 3.00 kills per set, which ranks first on the team. Guiding the offense is sophomore setter Audrey Alford, who lifted her assists per set average to 11.34 as she moved into second among Big 12 setters. As a team, Oklahoma ranks first in the Big 12 with 14.09 kills per set and second in hitting at .253 and assists per set at 13.19.

Kansas State sits one spot ahead of the Sooners in fifth place in the Big 12 at 18-8 overall and 7-6 in conference matches. The Wildcats have posted a 3-3 record since defeating in the Sooners in Norman on October 15, 3-1. Senior Brooke Sassin leads with 3.11 kills per set and ranks fourth on the team in digs per set with a 2.29 average. Redshirt-senior setter Katie Brand comes into Wednesday's matchup as the Big 12 leader in total assists with 1138 and assists per set with an 11.38 average. Libero Kersten Kober, who came in the 2016 campaign second among active Big 12 players in career digs, is first on the Wildcat team with a 3.98 digs per set average.

All-Time vs. Kansas State

The Sooners hold a significant advantage over the Wildcats in the all-time series, 53-30-1. OU twice defeated a ranked K-State squad in 2012 and earned a split in the season series in 2013 and 2014. Since 2006, Oklahoma has won 13 of 21 match-ups. The first contest between the two programs was a 1-1 tie in Lawrence, Kan. in 1975. The home team has won nine of the last 12 matchups and had won four straight until the first meeting in 2015 when the Wildcats won in Norman.

Last Time They Met

Oklahoma had a three-match win streak snapped on October 15. After winning the first set, the Sooners would drop the next three to lose the match 3-1. The Sooners outhit the Wildcats .265 to .262 for the match. Marion Hazelwood recorded a team-high 16 kills, while hitting .500 to go along with six blocks. Audrey Alford dished out 52 assists and 10 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. For Kansas State, Brooke Sassin led all players with 17 kills and added 10 digs for the double-double and setter Katie Brand dished out 52 assists.

By the Numbers: OU vs. K-State

In just two starts in three matches against Kansas State, Audrey Alford has surpassed the 50-assist mark each time with a double-double in both matches. She averages 11.00 assists and 2.50 digs per set vs. the Wildcats. Micaela Spann has reached double figures in kills in four of seven matches against K-State. She averages 2.35 kills and 0.50 blocks per set.

Without Error

Micaela Spann registered her fourth match of the season without an attack error against Texas Tech (11/12). She hit .533 with eight kills in the win. In 15 of 23 matches played, Spann has notched two errors or fewer. She has hit .500 or better on eight occasions, including a season-high .818 with nine kills against UT Martin (9/2).

Academic Honors

A program-record 11 Sooners were named to the 2016 Academic All-Big 12 Team; tied with K-State for the most in the league. Nine Sooners earned First Team recognition, while two earned Second Team honors. Micaela Spann became the first three-time Academic First Team selection since Sallie McLaurin (2011-13). Kimmy Gardiner followed up a 2015 Second Team honor with a First Team spot and Lauren English appeared on the First Team after a Second Team nod in 2014.
