NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team's four-match homestand concludes with a 6 p.m. match-up against Texas Tech at McCasland Field House on Saturday evening. The match will be the final Fan Appreciation Day of the season with free admission.

The Sooners enter the weekend at 13-12 with 4-7 record in Big 12 play. Senior middle blocker Micaela Spann is first on the team and second in the league with a .362 hitting percentage with 2.44 kills per set. Junior middle blocker Marion Hazelwood, who has hit .440 or better in the last two matches, is second on the team at .316 with 2.61 kills and a team-leading 1.11 blocks per set average. Senior outside hitter Kimmy Gardiner secured her team-leading ninth double-double last time out and lifted her averages to 2.76 kills and a team-high 3.47 digs per set on a .254 attack rate. Sophomore setter Audrey Alford surpassed the 1,000-assist mark for the season against Iowa State on Wednesday as her assists per set average grew to 11.27, which ranks third in the Big 12, following her second consecutive 50-plus assist match.

Texas Tech sits in last place in the Big 12 at 10-17 overall and 0-12 in conference matches. The Red Raiders have lost 15 straight matches; having last won on September 14 at Rice. Lauren Douglass is the top offensive weapon on the TTU roster; averaging 3.04 kills per set on a .355 attack rate. She is also first on the team with a 1.06 blocks per set average. Setter Marguerite Grubb averages 10.03 assists and 2.26 digs per set. Libero Reyn Akiu is first on the Tech back row with a 4.98 digs per set average, which ranks second in the Big 12.

Last Time They Met

Oklahoma was dominant against Texas Tech in Lubbock on October 12; coming away with a 3-0 win. The Sooners outhit the Red Raiders, .314-.203 for the match. Alyssa Enneking led all players with a career-high 19 kills, while hitting .390. Audrey Alford dished out 37 assists and Rachel Manriquez picked up 13 digs. For Tech, Lauren Douglass hit .345 with a team-high 12 kills.

All-Time vs. Texas Tech

The Sooners have pulled to within one win of evening the all-time series, which the Red Raiders lead by a narrow 36-35 margin. Oklahoma used a 19-match win streak against Texas Tech to bridge the gap. TTU broke OU's streak with a five-set win in Lubbock in 2015. Under Santiago Restrepo, the Sooners own a 21-3 record; having previously gone a decade between losses.

By the Numbers: OU vs. TTU

Marion Hazelwood is a career .455 hitter in five matches against Texas Tech. She has reached double figures in kills three times, including 15 against the Red Raiders at home in 2014. She hit .737 with one error and 19 attempts in that match to set the OU record for hitting percentage in a four-set match during the current scoring era. Kimmy Gardiner averages 2.40 kills and digs per set in four matches against Tech. Last season, she posted a 14-kill, 13-dig double-double in the first match-up between the two sides.

Sooners Dig It

Oklahoma is the only team in the league with two players among the Big 12's top-10 digs per set leaders. Outside hitter Kimmy Gardiner is tops on the Sooners' back row with 3.47 digs per set that ranks eighth in the conference. Rachel Manriquez is ninth at 3.42. Oklahoma last had a libero-outside hitter combo on the Big 12 leaderboard in 2013 when Taylor Migliazzo ranked fifth at 3.94 and Keila Rodriguez eighth at 3.24.

The Home Crowd

The Sooners hosted No. 4 Texas in front of a crowd of 1,874 at McCasland Field House on September 28. It marked the seventh largest home crowd in program history. Each of the Sooners' last four home matches against the Longhorns ranks in the top-10 for home attendance. Oklahoma hosted its second four-digit home crowd of the season against No. 4 Kansas (11/5) with 1,052 fans in attendance.
