Sooner Sports TV to Air 16 Games in 2016

NORMAN – The Oklahoma softball team is scheduled to have 16 of its games aired on TV by Sooner Sports TV during the 2016 season, it was announced Thursday. The announcement marks a substantial increase from a year ago in which seven games were carried by Sooner Sports TV.
The TV schedule begins with two games on the weekend of March 11. The contest that Friday against Saint Louis, as well as the following day's game versus Maryland will both be carried. Two weeks later, Sooner Sports TV will broadcast both games against UMKC, including the March 26 game at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Coverage will continue from Oklahoma City on March 30 when OU takes on Oklahoma State in a Bedlam matchup that will also serve as the Big 12 opener for both teams.
Other Big 12 series to be carried in their entirety by Sooner Sports TV include Kansas (April 1-3) and Texas Tech (May 6-8), while it will also provide coverage of the first and third games of the Texas series on April 15 and April 17, respectively.
Sooner Sports TV will also pick up midweek games against Wichita State on April 6 and North Texas a week later on April 13.
In addition, the season finale against Oklahoma State in Norman on May 14 will also be carried by the network.
Specific networks for Sooner Sports TV games will be announced at a later date, as will any additional nationally televised games. All other OU home games are scheduled to be streamed online at SoonerSports.TV.
