OU Earns Team Academic Award

NORMAN — The Oklahoma soccer program earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom this week. The award, granted for the team's performance during the 2014-15 academic year, marks the sixth straight for OU.

Oklahoma has earned the team award every year under head coach Matt Potter's leadership. Between his time at OU and Washington State, Potter-led teams have garnered 10 total team academic honors.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

Big 12 play gets underway this weekend for the Sooners as they welcome No. 15 Texas Tech and Iowa State to John Crain Field on Friday and Sunday, respectively, to close out a four-match homestand.Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU.
