Bradford, Murray Suit Up for Eagles
Two of the most anticipated debuts of Week 1 were those of Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray in Philadelphia. Bradford was traded there in the offseason, while Murray signed as a free agent.
Things didn't look promising for the Eagles early on as Atlanta marched out to a 20-3 lead at halftime, but Philadelphia rallied for 14 points in the third quarter. In the fourth, the Falcons extended their lead to 23-17 before a touchdown briefly gave the Eagles a 24-23 advantage with just 10 minutes to play.
Atlanta rallied for a go-ahead field goal before Bradford got the Eagles in position for a field goal of their own, but the kick missed wide. After the defense held, Philadelphia had one last chance but the attempted rally was cut short by an interception through a receiver's hands.
Overall, Bradford finished 36-52 for 336 yards and a touchdown, while Murray ran eight times for nine yards and a touchdown (aided by the lead block of starting left tackle and former Sooner Lane Johnson) and caught four passes for 11 yards and another score.
Among Bradford's highlights included a 14-yard pass to Darren Sproles, a pair of 19-yard catch-and-runs to Jordan Matthews, a 21-yard leaping grab by Zach Ertz, an 18-yard dumpoff to Ertz and a 12-yard gain to Riley Cooper.
Johnson also had an impressive kickout block on Sproles' 27-yard run.
On the other side of the ball, Chris Chester started at right guard for the Falcons in the team's 26-24 win.

Tight end Blake Bell saw playing time for San Francisco in a 20-3 win over Minnesota.
Offensive lineman Daryl Williams was in on the field goal unit for Carolina in its 20-9 win over Jacksonville, but he was injured in the first quarter and will miss the next 2-4 weeks with a sprained MCL.
