Six Reasons Not to Miss Oklahoma-Tulsa

Six Reasons Not to Miss Oklahoma-Tulsa

September 15, 2015 | Football

After proving their mettle at Tennessee, the No. 16 Sooners return to Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to face Tulsa on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Golden Hurricane has returned an allotment of tickets that are available for purchase. Here are the top reasons you should be there to see OU return to Norman.

1. Welcome The Sooners Home

Oklahoma faced a Vols crowd of 102,455 that reached a decibel level of 114, a stadium record. The Sooners defied it to win, and deserve a welcome as warm as Neyland was hostile.

2. 100th Home Game for Bob Stoops

Bob Stoops has seen a lot in his time at Oklahoma, including 99 home games. At 11 a.m. Saturday, he will lead the Sooners onto Owen Field for the 100th time.

3. 100th Anniversary of the RUF/NEKs

rufneks

Most schools have spirit groups on the sidelines. But no one has anything quite like RUF/NEKs, more than 100 of whom will be in attendance to celebrate their 100th anniversary.

4. Celebrate 1974 and 1975 National Championship Teams

Oklahoma's 1974 and 1975 national championship teams will be honored during the game.

5. Celebrate the Sooner State

A Sooner-Golden Hurricane football showdown is the best way to celebrate the state of Oklahoma, which we'll be doing all day long. So show up, and show your Sooner State pride.

6. The 100th Consecutive Sellout

...this one is entirely up to you.
