Carpenter became the first Sooner to ever earn the award three times in a season and just the third in league history to do so. He hit .421 (8-for-19) in a 2-2 week for Oklahoma. Carpenter slugged .684 with a .450 on-base percentage for an impressive 1.134 OPS. Redshirt-senior Robert Tasin made 37 appearances on the mound, including five starts, in his first two seasons with OU. This year, he has pitched in 13 games with six starts across 51 innings. To add depth to the Sooner bench and lineup from the left side of the plate, Tasin picked up a bat this offseason and is currently hitting .279 (17-for-61) with eight RBI. Junior Jacob Evans has also stepped to the plate for 13 at-bats this season and has five hits, including a walk-off home run.
