NORMAN – No. 6/5 Oklahoma (17-3) continued its dominant stretch of play with a 14-0, five-inning win over Samford (15-8) Sunday afternoon at the Courtyard Marriott Tournament in Norman.

The Sooners, who extended their winning streak to seven games, have now won their last six via shutout. That's one off the school record of seven straight shutouts, done three times previously. In fact, no opponent has scored over the Sooners in the team's last 36 innings of play.

Anchoring the staff was freshman Paige Parker. Fresh off her second career perfect game, Parker struck out a career-high 10 batters while allowing three hits. Her personal scoreless streak stands at 18 scoreless innings.

Keying the offensive attack was senior Lauren Chamberlain, who continued her hunt for the all-time home run record with a pair of blasts. She hit a two-run homer in the third and added a solo shot in the fourth to bring her career total to 83.

The 83 career home runs brings Chamberlain into a tie for fifth all-time with Louisiana-Lafayette's Danyele Gomez (2003-06) and moves her just seven away from tying the all-time record of 90. It was Chamberlain's 16th career multi-homer game and her second of the season.

In addition to scoring three runs and driving in three runs, Chamberlain also walked twice to move into second place in OU history and third in Big 12 annals with 164 career walks.

Oklahoma got the bats going early, sending 12 to the plate in a six-run first inning.

One game after going 4-4 with four extra base hits, junior Erin Miller picked up right where she left off on Sunday. With two on and one out, Miller cranked a three-run shot to center field for her third home run of the season.

Miller finished the game going 1-2 with three runs scored, three driven in and a walk. At one point, dating back to IPFW on Feb. 28, Miller had reached safely in eight straight plate appearances with three walks, two home runs, two triples and one double.

Juniors Kady Self and Whitney Ellis kept the hits coming as they followed Miller's homer with consecutive singles. Two batters later, freshman Lea Wodach singled to the hole at shortstop to load the bases. Fellow freshman Kelsey Arnold drew a bases-loaded walk on five pitches to bring in the Sooners' fourth run of the game. Moving back to the top of the order, freshman Nicole Pendley laced a two-run single into left field to push the lead to 6-0.

The Sooners struck again in the second when Ellis hit a sacrifice fly to left field, then blew the game wide open with a six-run third inning.

After senior Callie Parsons pinch hit and drew a leadoff walk, Chamberlain muscled a home run to right field off the end of her bat. Two batters later, Miller and pinch-hitter Tori Nirschl walked. After an infield fly, junior Paris Townsend was hit by a pitch to load the bases for sophomore Macey Hatfield. On a 1-1 pitch, she drove a pitch into the bleachers in left center for her first career grand slam.

Leading 13-0, Chamberlain capped the scoring with her second homer on a towering drive to right center. It was the team's fourth homer of the game, setting a season high.
