AMES, Iowa -- The top-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team became the nation's first team in 2015 to break the 198 barrier on Friday, earning a 198.150-195.675 win over Iowa State on the road.

With the win, OU rose to a perfect 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in road contests. The Sooners are now averaging a 197.500 in four road meets this season.

Oklahoma captured event titles on all four events, paced by a pair of crowns for Chayse Capps on beam (9.95) and vault (9.95). Haley Scaman tied with Capps for top honors on vault, while McKenzie Wofford earned her third straight event title on bars with a 9.95.

The dynamic true freshman duo of Brenna Dowell and Ali Jackson rounded out the titles for Oklahoma, tying for top honors on floor with identical 9.95 efforts.

Iowa State's Caitlin Brown and Haylee Young tied for the all-around title with identical marks of 39.250.

The Sooners opened with a stellar rotation on bars, soaring to a 49.525 behind Wofford's fourth straight routine of 9.9 or higher on the event. Senior Rebecca Clark opened with a big 9.925 and a stuck dismount to tie her career-high in the lead-off position.

Haley Scaman added a 9.9 in the No. 5 spot to aid OU, while Keeley Kmieciak and Erica Brewer each picked up 9.875 efforts.

OU moved to vault, exploding for a 49.575 to tie their season-high on the event behind Capps' and Scaman's meet-best 9.95s. Kmieciak hit her second 9.9 in as many meets for the Sooners in the No. 2 spot.

Brenna Dowell hit a big 9.9 for Oklahoma in the No. 3 position and Maile'ana Kanewa returned to the lead-off spot in the lineup for a 9.875 as well. Ali Jackson rounded things out for the Sooners, picking up a 9.85 in the No. 5 spot.

Oklahoma's electric energy carried over to floor as the team tied its season-high of 49.500 in the third rotation. Dowell earned a 9.95 in the No. 4 position and Jackson promptly followed with her own 9.95, a new career-high for the true freshman.

Kara Lovan kept up her strong year on floor as well, picking up a 9.9 in the No. 3 spot. The sophomore has earned 9.9s or higher in five consecutive meets on the event. Scaman anchored with a 9.875, while Capps earned a 9.825 in the No. 2 spot.

Already well on 198 pace for the night, the Sooners needed to close with a big effort on beam to seal a season-high score. OU delivered with a season-best 49.550 as Capps paved the way with her season-high-tying 9.95.

It was a rotation of huge performances for the Sooners: Brewer tied her season-best with a 9.925, while both Lovan (9.925) and Haley Sorensen (9.9) each tied their career-best efforts. Kmieciak and Clark were each solid in at the front of the rotation with 9.85 performances as well.

Sooner fans will have an opportunity to see top-ranked Oklahoma in action next weekend at the annual Perfect 10 Challenge in Oklahoma City. The Sooners are set to take on Kentucky at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Cox Convention Center. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
