IOWA CITY, Iowa – The top-ranked University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics squad improved to an unbeaten 9-0 on Sunday afternoon in Iowa City, Iowa, posting a score of 440.850 to defeat No. 6 Ohio State and No. 9 Iowa. The Hawkeyes finished second with a mark of 428.450 and the Buckeyes third, scoring 422.600.

The Crimson and Cream was dominant, sweeping all six individual titles for the second time this season. The Sooners have now claimed 16 of a possible 18 event first place finishes through three meets this season.

OU started Sunday off on the pommel horse for the second straight meet. Senior All-American and runner-up on the event Michael Reid turned in the best performance for the Sooners and won the event with a near flawless routine to score a 15.700. The mark gave Reid the event title and was his best score on the apparatus of his career.

Oklahoma then moved to the rings for the second rotation of the day and continued the fine form the team has displayed on the event thus far in 2015. Michael Squires posted the top mark for the meet for the third time in as many weeks with a 15.600. Thao Hoang also turned in a strong set to earn a 15.250.

After rings, the Sooners moved on to the floor exercise, which produced their best team event score on Sunday with a 74.700. Each member of the floor team notched a mark of 14.300 or higher, including Hunter Justus's 15.200 and defending NCAA floor champion Alec Robin's 15.050. Justus claimed his first event victory as a Sooner with his performance.

All six of OU's gymnasts who competed on the fourth event of the day, the parallel bars, were consistent, as each of Oklahoma's scores was between 14.300 and 14.800 to earn a team score of 73.250. Jacoby Rubin and Dylan Akers each posted marks of 14.800 to split the parallel bars title.

The fifth rotation placed the Sooners on the high bar, an event which gave the Crimson and Cream some trouble last weekend at Stanford. This week Oklahoma was locked in on the apparatus, notching a team score of 73.750, its best total of the season. Danny Berardini and Will Clement capped off the event with matching scores of 15.100 to tie for first place on the high bar.

The Sooners wrapped up their stay in Iowa City with the vault, which produced a total score of 73.000. Oklahoma's Colin Van Wicklen produced the high mark for the team and the meet with a 14.800, besting teammates Josh Yee and Hoang who each scored a 14.750.

OU's Allan Bower claimed the all-around title for the meet with an 85.500.

The team's final score of 440.850 marks the third time this season the Sooners have surpassed 440 points. The Crimson and Cream is the only program in the nation to score above a 440 at every meet in 2015.

Oklahoma will have a weekend off for the first time this season, as they prepare for the showdown against defending national champion Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 14 for the Crimson and Cream's home opener at 5:30 p.m.
