Justus is the younger brother of current Sooner gymnast Hunter Justus. Hailing from Cypress, Texas, Tanner is a current member of the U.S. Junior National Team. He finished first in his age group on vault at the 2013 and 2014 Men's Junior Olympic National Championships. Justus also took first on vault at the 2015 P&G Championships and finished tied for third with Wenske in the all-around competition. Justus is the son of Craig and Fran Justus and competes at the Cypress Academy of Gymnastics in Houston under the direction of Tom Meadows.

The Sooners' second signee also hails from Houston and Cypress Academy. Wenske boasts a decorated junior career that includes a first place finish in his age group in the all-around competition at the 2015 Men's Junior Olympic National Championships, as well as first place finishes in his age group on floor at the 2013 and 2014 Men's Junior Olympic National Championships and the 2014 P&G Championships. He also finished first on parallel bars at the 2015 P&G Championships and tied Justus for third in the all-around. He is the son of Dennis and Connie Wenske.
Both Justus and Wenske were part of the U.S. Junior National Team that took home the bronze medal last weekend at the 2015 Olympic Hopes Cup in Liberec, Czech Republic. Wenske finished seventh in the all-around with a score of 81.20 while Justus came in just behind him in eighth with a mark of 81.150.
The Sooners' newest duo continues a longstanding pipeline of talent from the Houston area and Cypress Academy. Current Sooners Levi Anderson, Hunter Justus, Reese Rickett and Colin Van Wicklen all trained at Cypress.
Oklahoma opens the 2015 season Jan. 16 at the Rocky Mountain Open in Colorado Springs, Colo. at 6 p.m. CT.
