The 25 points is a career-high, breaking her previous best of 23, scored against Washington in the Sooners opening game this season. The 12 rebounds was also a season and game-high. For the game, Williams sank 10-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from the charity stripe. She also had four assists, one block and one steal.

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Oklahoma women's basketball team's undefeated record in Big 12 Conference play stayed intact Saturday after the Sooners defeated TCU 97-81 at the University Recreation Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The victory improved OU's league-leading mark to 5-0 and 11-5 overall. The Horned Frogs fell to 3-2 in Big 12 and are now also 11-5 overall.

Three Sooners registered double-figures in the 16-point victory, led by the career outings of both Kaylon Williams and Gioya Carter.

Williams posted her third double-double of the season and second in Big 12 play, scoring a career-high 25 points and grabbing a season-high 12 rebounds. Carter tied a career-high in points with her 24. The guard drained a career-high six 3-pointers en route to her second career 20-plus point performance. Carter also passed out a game-high five assists, while Williams was credited with four assists.

The final Sooner in double-figures was freshman point guard Gabbi Ortiz (13). In total, nine of the 10 OU players scored a bucket and all but two muscled at least two rebounds.

Oklahoma led at halftime 50-43 on the strength of Williams and Carter. The dynamic duo combined for 30 of the Sooners 50 first half points and assisted on four other Oklahoma buckets.

The 3-point arc is what kept the Horned Frogs close in the opening half. The final five buckets made by TCU were 3-pointers. It closed out the half draining 7-of-17 and for the game sank 12-of-25.

The Sooners catapulted their lead to 20 points five minutes into the second half and their largest advantage of the contest was hit two minutes later when redshirt sophomore Peyton Little sank a jumper to put the score at 74-52.

Oklahoma ended the contest hitting 35-of-60 (58.3 percent) from the field, 9-of-15 (60.0 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc, and 18-of-22 (81.1 percent) from the free throw line.

Veja Hamilton and Natalie Ventress paced the Horned Frogs with 23 points each. Zahna Medley, who was hit with two technical fouls and ejected from the contest late in the second half, finished with 17 points.
