- Attendance for Monday afternoon's Bedlam matchup was 7,111. That is a season high in
attendance, passing the previous high from last week against Texas (5,610).
- Monday's Bedlam matchup fell on coach Sherri Coale's birthday. She is now 6-0 in games on her birthday, including two wins against Oklahoma State (2005 and 2015).
- The win was the first time that Oklahoma had beaten back-to-back ranked opponents on their
home floor since 2008-09 when it beat Iowa State (16) and Baylor (5).
- The Sooners came out hot following the under-16 minute media timeout, outscoring the Cowgirls 16-4 to lead 27-10 with just under nine minutes to go in the first half.
- Gioya Carter led the team in first-half scoring with 12 points. Sharane Campbell-Olds also had nine points that contributed to a 12-point Oklahoma halftime lead.
- Sophomore guard Maddie Manning has now blocked seven shots in the past four games. The seven blocks have been her only blocks of the season.
- The Sooners shot 55.6 percent from the field in the first half, which is the best the team has shot in a first half thus far in conference play. They finished by shooting 54.5 percent.
- Oklahoma began the second half by going on a 15-4 run to push the lead to 23 points (51-28).
- Peyton Little recorded 13 points on the game for Oklahoma and grabbed seven rebounds. Little
has now scored 13 points or more in four of the last five games.
- All 14 of Oklahoma's players who suited up saw action in the Bedlam game. Ten of the 14 players scored.
- Four Sooners scored 10 or more points in the matchup, including Peyton Little (13), Sharane
Campbell-Olds (11), Gioya Carter (18) and Kaylon Williams (16). The four tallied 58 of Oklahoma's 73 points. They shot a combined 70.5 percent (24-34).
- Oklahoma's defense held the Cowgirls' leading scorer Brittany Martin to just six points on the day.
- The Sooners also forced 17 Oklahoma State turnovers, turning them into 25 points.
- Oklahoma is now 6-0 in the Big 12 conference. It is the Sooners' best start in the conference since winning 12 straight to begin league play in 2008-09. They went on to win the Big 12 and appear in the Final Four.
- Oklahoma has won all of its games this season on its home floor. The Sooners have also won their past 10 in Norman dating back to Feb. 19, 2014 against Texas.
- The Sooners have now outscored their opponent in 13 of the last 14 halves.
- With Monday's 19-point win, Oklahoma extended its win streak to seven games. The Sooners have won all of those games by 11 or more points.
- Oklahoma now leads the Bedlam series 56-38. The Cowgirls have not beaten Sherri Coale's team at home in 17 straight tries dating back to 1999.
