SOONER NOTEBOOK: NOTES FOR WEEK SIX

1. OVERCOMING ADVERSITY
The Oklahoma soccer team is looking for a bounce-back performance against Oral Roberts after suffering back-to-back losses for the first time this season last weekend. The Sooners and the Golden Eagles are set for a Friday night match at 7 p.m. CT in Norman as OU looks for a final victory before heading into conference play. The match marks Oklahoma's third this season against an in-state opponent, following contests against Oklahoma State (W, 2-0) and Tulsa (T, 0-0). OU has not surrendered a goal to an in-state foe this season.

2. HOME SWEET HOMA
After a challenging stretch of five away matches in three weeks, OU will return home to the friendly confines of John Crain Field in Norman this Friday night. The Sooners are 3-1-1 at the OU Soccer Complex this season and 3-1-2 in the state of Oklahoma, holding wins over Oklahoma State, Florida and Central Arkansas. The Sooners have outscored their opponents by a margin of 10-3 at John Crain Field this season, and have not given up multiple goals at home in 2014.

3. CONFERENCE MIGHT
Oklahoma is one of eight Big 12 teams to own a winning percentage of .600, the highest mark of any conference in the nation. The Sooners join other Big 12 teams in compiling a total winning percentage of .690 against non-conference teams, the best total since 2011.

4. RECAPPING THE RPI
The first NCAA RPI of the season is out, with Oklahoma capturing the No. 32 spot in the initial ranking. The Sooners are one of four Big 12 teams to appear in the top 40 of the RPI, joining No. 9 Texas Tech, No. 17 West Virginia and No. 29 Kansas.

5. NO EASY FEAT
Oklahoma will cap its non-conference schedule this weekend, wrapping up a non-conference slate of 11 total matches. OU's 11 non-conference contests are the most for the Sooners since an 11-game lineup in 2011. Barring the inaugural season of 1996 in which the program played no conference matches, Oklahoma has never played more than 11 non-conference contests in a single season.

6. CATCH IT LIVE
Friday's match will be broadcast live on FS Oklahoma and FCS Atlantic (FCSA), with Chad McKee on the call and Melissa Terry providing color commentary. Check SoonerSports.TV/Channels for television listing information.

SOCCER FOOD DRIVE: Oklahoma soccer will hold its annual food drive benefitting the Regional Foodbank of Oklahoma prior to Friday's match. Fans who bring five canned or non-perishable food items will receive a coupon for a free Whataburger and be entered to win two tickets and two pre-game sideline passes for the OU vs. Kansas football game, courtesy of Whataburger.
