GAME NOTES

• Bob Stoops became the first coach to register 100 regular season Big 12 victories and has a record of 100-24 (.806).

• OU has won eight straight games for the first time since rattling of 11 consecutive wins (11/13/10 - 10/16/11).

• OU is 13-3 (.813) in Big 12 openers under Stoops.

• The Sooners are 22-1 in its last 23 games vs. unranked foes.

• Under Stoops, OU is 133-6 (.957) when scoring 30 or more points, including an active win streak of 22 consecutive games.

• The Sooners have forced a turnover in eight straight games, and with three Saturday, have 22 takeaways over that span.

• With the 45-33 win, OU is now 83-1 when scoring 40 or more points during the Stoops' era.

• The Sooners recorded 46 carries for 301 yards. The Sooners are now 63-1 under Stoops when rushing for 200 or more yards and have won 36 straight when doing so.

Durron Neal's touchdown pass to Trevor Knight was the first touchdown pass from a non-quarterback since Grant Bothun threw a touchdown pass to Michael Hunnicutt on a fake field goal at Oklahoma State (12/7/13).

• With Alex Ross' 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, OU has now recorded 100-yard plays in the same season for the first time in program history.

Samaje Perine ran for 242 yards and Sterling Shepard recorded 101 receiving yards, marking the first time OU has had a 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver in the same game since Damien Williams and Jalen Saunders did it vs. TCU (12/1/12).

MICHAEL HUNNICUTT

• Kicker Michael Hunnicutt totaled nine points (one field goal, six extra points), becoming OU's all-time leading scorer with 392 career points, passing DeMarco Murray (390).

Michael Hunnicutt has now made a field goal in 21 straight games dating back to the Baylor contest on Nov. 10, 2012.

• Hunnicutt's 42-yard field goal is his longest of the season.

• With two extra points made in the game, Hunnicutt passed Tim Lashar (177) and Trey DiCarlo (177) for third-most made in OU history at 178.

TREVOR KNIGHT

• Quarterback Trevor Knight caught the first touchdown of his career on a pass from Durron Neal.

• Knight becomes the sixth player under Stoops and 22nd player in OU history to record a touchdown rush, pass and reception in his career.

• Knight's touchdown reception was the first for a Sooner quarterback since Hunter Wall caught a 33-yard pass from Antwone Savage against Kansas State (9/29/01).

• Knight threw for 205 yards, marking his fifth career game of surpassing the 200-yard mark, moving him into eighth place in OU history.

SAMAJE PERINE

• Running back Samaje Perine recorded career highs in carries (34), yards (242) and touchdowns (four) and a career-long rush of 38 yards.

• Perine became the first Sooner to record four rushing touchdowns since Blake Bell scored four rushing touchdowns vs. Texas (10/13/12).

• Perine's 242 yards mark the first time a Sooner has surpassed the 200-yard mark since  DeMarco Murray ran for 208 yards vs. Utah State (9/4/10). The performance ranks 13th in OU history for most rushing yards in a game.

• Perine became the first freshman to score four rushing touchdowns in a game since  Blake Bell recorded four in the Insight Bowl vs. Iowa (12/30/11).

• Perine 34 carries mark the first time a Sooner has recorded at least 30 carries in a game since Brennan Clay rushed 31 times at Kansas State.

STERLING SHEPARD

• Shepard now has 1,660 receiving yards in his career to move past DeMarco Murray (1,571), Stephen Alexander (1,591), Keith Jackson (1,609), Tinker Owens (1,619) and Jermaine Gresham (1,627) for 11th in OU history.

• Shepard's six catches give him 119 for his career, moving him into a tie with Manuel Johnson (119) for 13th in OU history.

• Shepard recorded his sixth 100-yard receiving game of his career, tying him with Kenny Stills for fifth place in OU history.

• Shepard recorded his third straight 100-yard receiving games, marking the first time since Jalen Saunders accomplished the feat in 2012 against West Virginia, Oklahoma State and TCU.

ALEX ROSS

Alex Ross' 100-yard kickoff return touchdown was the first of his career and OU's first since Roy Finch did it vs. Kansas (10/20/12). The touchdown is the fourth (three rushing, one return) of Ross' career.

• Ross becomes the sixth player in OU history to record a 100-yard play, four of which have come on kickoff returns.

• Ross' 131 kick return yards rank seventh all-time for a single game in OU history.

• Ross had a career-high three catches for 19 yards.

K.J. YOUNG

• Wide receiver K.J. Young had career highs in receptions (five) and yards (57). Young's 23-yard reception marked a career long.

DURRON NEAL

• Wide receiver Durron Neal completed the first pass of his career on a four-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Knight.

ZACK SANCHEZ

• Cornerback Zack Sanchez recorded an interception for the fifth straight game and now has an interception in six of his last seven games.

QUENTIN HAYES

• Safety Quentin Hayes intercepted his third pass of his career and first of the season.

GENEO GRISSOM

• Linebacker Geneo Grissom forced his first fumble of his career.

CHARLES TAPPER

• Defensive end Charles Tapper recovered the first fumble of his career.

JORDAN EVANS

• Linebacker Jordan Evans recorded recorded a career-high XX tackles, marking the first time he has reached double digits in his career.

JED BARNETT

• Punter Jed Barnett recorded a punt of 70 yards, the longest of his career.

• Barnett's 70-yard punt was the longest since Tress Way's 75-yard punt at TCU (12/1/12).
