Two Sooners to Compete at U.S. Amateur

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma men's golfers Michael Gellerman and Max McGreevy will compete at the 114th U.S. Amateur Championship Aug. 11 and 12 at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta, Ga. Monday's round will be played at the 7,490-yard, par-71 Highlands Course, while Tuesday's will be held at the 7,381-yard, par-72 Riverside Course.

A field of 312 golfers will play 18 holes of stroke play both days, after which the field will be cut to the low 64 scorers. Six rounds of match play will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and the event will conclude with a 36-hole championship match on Sunday, Aug. 17.

Gellerman, who will be a senior this upcoming season, will tee off at 7:10 a.m. CT on Monday, while McGreevy, a sophomore, begins competition at 12:05 p.m. For live results, click here.
