Russell Athletic Bowl Postgame Notes

GAME NOTES
• Today's Russell Athletic Bowl marks the Sooners 48th bowl game in program history, 16 of which have come under Stoops.

• The Sooner defense compiled four sacks in the game, just one shy of its season high of five, which came vs. Tennessee (9/13).

SAMAJE PERINE
• Running back Samaje Perine rushed for 134 yards to give him 1,713 on the season, which moves him past Steve Owens (1,649, 1968) and Billy Sims (1,670, 1979) for fifth place on the OU single-season rushing list.

• The freshman surpassed the 100-yard mark in six games in his debut season.

• Perine recorded 23 carries on Monday, giving him him 263 on the season, which moves him into sixth place for rushing attempts in a season by an OU player. Perine passed Mike Gaddis (241, 1991), Billy Simms (248, 1979) and Billy Simms (256, 1978).

ALEX ROSS
• Running back Alex Ross scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season and career.

TREVOR KNIGHT
• Quarterback Trevor Knight's 17 completions move him into seventh place in OU history for career completions with 258, passing Paul Thompson (246).

ERIC STRIKER
• Linebacker Eric Striker has recorded 1.5 sacks, becoming OU's all-time leader for sacks by a linebacker with 15.5 for his career. Striker passed Rocky Calmus (14.0) for the top spot.

• Striker matched his career high in tackles for loss with 3.0 and now has 17.0 on the season and 27.5 in his career.

• Striker led the team with a career-high 12 tackles.

DEVANTE BOND
• Linebacker Devonte Bond notched a career-high seven tackles

OGBONNIA OKORONKWO
• Linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has recorded a career-high 1.5 sacks and now has 2.0 in his career.

CHUKA NDULUE
• Defensive end Chuka Ndulue blocked the first FG of his career in the first quarter.
