Sooners Seek 10th Straight Victory vs. Jayhawks; KU's Last Win in Norman Came in 1997

- Oklahoma posted a 42-30 win at Texas Tech (11/15), while Kansas lost a narrow 34-30 decision vs. TCU (11/15).
- The Sooners will meet the Jayhawks for the 105th time in a series that dates back to 1903. Oklahoma has only met two opponents more frequently – Texas (109 games) and Oklahoma State (108 games).
- Oklahoma has outscored KU by a 172-64 margin (43.0-16.0 ppg.) in the four OU-KU games in the Stoops era in Norman.
- The Sooners are 73-3 (.961) at home against unranked foes under Stoops, including 12 straight victories.
- Oklahoma is 37-2 (.949) at home vs. unranked Big 12 foes under Stoops with only one loss in its last 31 such contests.
- The Sooners are 27-2 (.931) in Nov. home games under Stoops. KU's last road win vs. a ranked Big 12 foe was at KSU (10/6/07).

The 30-Point and 40-Point Barriers Are Always Keys Barometer for Oklahoma

- The Sooners are 43-2 (.956) at home vs. Big 12 foes when scoring 30+ points under Stoops.
- Kansas has lost 25 consecutive Big 12 games when permitting 30 points or more, allowing 46.2 ppg in those outings.
- OU is 84-0 in regular season games under Stoops when scoring 40+ points, including a 53-0 mark at home.
- KU is 1-60 (.016) in Big 12 play when allowing 40+ points with its lone win coming by a 52-45 count vs. Colorado (11/6/10).
- Oklahoma (38.8 ppg) ranks third in the Big 12 in scoring, while Kansas (19.4 ppg) is last in that department.
Sooners Seek to Maintain Ground Superiority Over KU; OU Leads Big 12 in Rush Differential

- OU (240.9 ypg) leads the Big 12 in rushing and will face a Kansas rush defense that ranks seventh in the Big 12 (181.2 ypg).
- The Sooners lead the Big 12 in rushing differential (+122.5 ypg), ranking ahead of second-place Baylor (+110.8 ypg).
- The Jayhawks have allowed 200+ rushing yards in every road game in 2014, permitting an average of 282.8 ypg in those contests.
- OU is coming off a 384-yard rushing effort at Texas Tech (11/15) and is averaging 447.0 rushing ypg in its last two victories.
- KU is 0-20 all-time in Big 12 play when giving up 200+ rushing yards, but has permitted only 115.5 rushing ypg in its last two games.
- The Sooners have averaged 241.0 rushing ypg in their last two meetings with Kansas in Norman.
- Oklahoma and Baylor are the only two Big 12 teams that haven't permitted an individual 100-yard rusher in 2014.

Awards for shepard WR Sterling Shepard and Bob Stoops are the first OU individuals to be honored with the Disney Sports Spirit Award since its inception in 1996. The honor recognizes college football's most inspirational individual or team. Shepard's father, Derrick, was a former Sooner who played a key role on OU's 1985 national championship squad and tragically passed away in 1999. Stoops and his staff kept Sterling involved with OU Football as a youngster. The award will be presented at ESPN's College Football Awards in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 11. Shepard was also recognized this week as one of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's top wide receiver.
OU has won 38 straight games when rushing for 200 or more net yards since 2006. OU is 66-1 (4-0 in 2014, 4-0 vs. Kansas) under Stoops when hitting that plateau. The Jayhawks have lost their last 26 Big 12 games when permitting 200 or more ground yards. OU is 20-0 under Stoops with 300 or more rushing yards.
Alex Ross is seeking to become the first OU player to produce three KO return TDs in a season. He is third in the FBS KO return average.

RB Samaje Perine leads the Big 12 in rushing (100.1 ypg) and rushing TDs (14), a record for ground scores by Big 12 freshman. He ranks third among FBS freshman in rushing ypg. Perine is coming off a 213-yard effort at Texas Tech (11/15), his second 200-yard game of the year. Perine has 1,001 rushing yards in 2014, becoming the first OU player to top the 1,000-yard mark since RB DeMarco Murray in 2010.

- T Daryl Williams anchors an o-line that has only permitted 6.0 sacks - the lowest total among “Power 5” teams. He has also paved the way for the top rushing offense in the Big 12 (240.9 ypg).
- CB Zack Sanchez is second in the Big 12 and is tied for ninth in the nation with five INTs in 2014 and has a team-high 11 passes defensed.
