The countdown to the 2013 soccer season continues today, with only 10 days left until the Sooners open the year on the road at Tennessee on August 23. The full schedule is available on the soccer page at SoonerSports.com

With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The 11th edition of the Countdown features midfielder Abby Hodgen of Yukon, Okla.

1. Nickname ... I don't really have one.

2. Biggest Compliment given ... I am a well-rounded person.

3. Biggest influence on your life ... I would have to say my parents and sister. They have always been a huge part of my life and anytime I need anything they are always there for me.

4. Strengths ... My compassion, dedication, strong-willed and a team player.

5. Weaknesses ... I'm not assertive enough in some situations, impatience and procrastination.

6. Favorite Candy ... Hot Tamales and Peanut M&Ms.

7. Do you have any heroes?
My grandparents, who have shown me that you can make it through anything if you just keep fighting.
My Uncle David, who has taught me that working hard pays off.

8. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ...
Shopping and being at the lake or around the pool.

9. Name three people (famous, relatives, friends) you would invite to dinner?
Usher, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine

10. What is the last song downloaded on your IPod?
"The Great Gatsby" soundtrack

11. Favorite Movie ..."How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"

12. Favorite TV show ... The Real Housewives of Orange County or New Jersey

13. Tell us something that we don't know about you?
I'm allergic to most grasses and trees, so I have to get allergy shots twice a week.

14. Describe yourself in five words ... Fun, optimistic, compassionate, sarcastic and friendly.

15. In five years, I will be ... (hopefully) working at a hospital as an RN and still working out!

Abby Hodgen Bio Brief
Hodgen has seen playing time in every game of her career since becoming a Sooner, with 33 starts and 40 total appearances. She has notched three assists as a midfielder at OU. Prior to becoming a Sooner, she was also a three-time first team All-City pick by The Oklahoman.

My best highlight moment would be beating OSU last year in Norman. My dream highlight moment would be winning the Big 12 and getting a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
