All-American: Keith Jackson

Rufus Alexander

Keith Jackson, TE - 1986, 1987
Keith Jackson was consensus All-American in both 1986 and 1987 and was named all-conference from 1985-87. As a junior, he averaged an amazing 28.8 yards per reception on a team that was last in the NCAA in passing for most of the season. Jackson averaged 27.5 yards per reception as a senior.

His versatility made him not only a great receiver and blocker, but also a rushing threat. He had a run of 66 yards against Minnesota during his junior year. Jackson became the first Sooner to receive the NCAA Top Six Award.

He was the 13th player taken in the 1988 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson was a member of the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl XXXI championship team. He worked with TNT as a NFL commentator and was also a member of the Oklahoma Sooner Football Radio Network during the 1998 season.

He became the 15th Sooner player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December 2001.
