Landry Jones is featured on the college football preview issue of Sports Illustrated which will hit newsstands this week. The cover is the 32nd for the Sooners and 11th time since 2000 that an OU player has been featured. SI ranks Oklahoma No. 2 in its preseason poll.

FOUR GAMES NEAR SELLOUTS
OU officials have announced the Missouri, Texas Tech and A&M games are virtual sellouts with only a few single tickets remaining for each of those contests. In addition, fewer than 300 tickets remain for the season opener against Tulsa on Sept. 3. The tickets available are those that were either unclaimed or returned by visiting teams.

TRANSFER JOINS SOONERS
Kellen Jones, a 6-1, 223-pound linebacker, has transferred from Michigan to Oklahoma and is eligible to play for the Sooners this season. Coach Stoops made the formal announcement today.
