Soccer Opens Spring Slate at Arkansas

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma soccer team opens its 2013 spring schedule with a Saturday matchup at Arkansas. The match is slated to get underway at 11 a.m.

The Sooners will battle the Austin Nationals squad on Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m. CT in Norman.

Oklahoma finished the 2012 campaign with an overall mark of 7-9-4 and finished fifth in the conference standings with a Big 12 record of 3-3-2 under first-year head coach Matt Potter.

OU's spring roster features 14 returners from last year's team and two newcomers in goalkeeper Kaitlyn Fahrner and midfielder Elise Romano.

2013 Spring Schedule
Game 1 at Arkansas - Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m.
Game 2 Austin Nationals (Pro Team) - Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m. (Norman, Okla.)
Game 3 at Baylor - Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m.
Game 4 at Tulsa - Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m.
