Tickets For Troops Tradition Continued

December 13, 2013 | Football

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma Athletics is pleased to continue the tradition of helping boost the morale of our men and women in uniform through OU's Tickets For Troops program.

Fans can donate a dollar amount of their choosing to help provide tickets for military personnel to attend the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Jan. 2 as Oklahoma squares off against Alabama.

While a single ticket for the game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome costs $160, there is no minimum or maximum dollar figure that fans can contribute. OU Athletics will distribute tickets free of charge to military personnel from New Orleans and the surrounding region.

The past generosity of Sooner fans has provided a great gift and wonderful “thank you” to military personnel at previous OU bowl contests at various venues across the country. This will mark the first time that Oklahoma fans will have an opportunity to send military personnel to the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Fans interested in making a donation to the Tickets For Troops program can participate here: Tickets For Troops
