NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma soccer team (4-4-2) is set to host Baylor (8-1-1) tonight at 7 p.m. CT and Texas (3-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. Both games will be played at John Crain Field.
Below are five things to watch this weekend as the Sooners face off against the Bears and Longhorns in two Big 12 showdowns:
1. Home field advantage
Three of Oklahoma's four wins this season have come on its home field, including a 1-0 victory over No. 3 Oklahoma State on Sept. 7 in front of a record-breaking crowd of 2,475. OU is averaging 863 fans per game this season and has not allowed more than one goal in any of its six home contests.
2. Sooner forward Renae Cuellar
Renae Cuellar has a team-high six goals this season, including a strike last weekend at Rice that enabled the Sooners to leave Houston with a 1-1 tie. Cuellar is currently
second in the Big 12 in shots (40) and game-winning goals (3), third in goals (6) and fifth in points (13). The California native and Arizona transfer will get her first taste of Big 12 soccer this weekend and will look to continue to light up the scoreboard for OU.
