NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma volleyball team will host its annual Crimson and Cream scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 18 at noon inside the Howard McCasland Field House. The two-hour intrasquad scrimmage is free and open to the public.
Following the match, the Sooners will host a picnic for fans in attendance. Pizza and drinks will be available as long as supplies last. Players will also be available for autographs.
The event will provide Sooner fans the first opportunity to watch the 2012 squad under the direction of eighth-year head coach Santiago Restrepo. Oklahoma will open the season with the Nike Invitational at the Howard McCasland Field House Aug. 24-25. The Sooners will begin the four-team tournament on Friday, Aug. 24 against Missouri State at 7 p.m. CT.
Season tickets are on sale now, through the University of Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can order season tickets online or by calling (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-GOOU. They are $55 for the general public and $44 for OU faculty/staff and letterwinners.
Single game tickets are also available for purchase online or by calling the ticket office directly. Season and single-game tickets are also available at McCasland Field House on the day of the event beginning one our prior to game time.
Group tickets are available for a discounted rate. Tickets are $4 each for groups of 10 or more. Groups of 100 or more are eligible for $3 tickets. Arrangements for group tickets must be made at least 24 hours prior to the event. Please call (405) 325-2424 for more information.
