COLUMBIA, Mo. - The 10th-ranked Oklahoma wrestling team dropped its third dual of the year, this time at No. 13 Missouri, 25-12, on Sunday at the Hearnes Center.

Oklahoma (12-3, 3-2) collected three wins on the day as the Tigers (12-2, 3-1) avenged their 19-18 loss in Norman earlier this season and snapped a three match losing skid to the Sooners.

"Going into the dual our staff felt very confident that we were going to come away with a win, but the team did not show much confidence," Mark Cody said. "In our sport, like any other sport, you have to fight, scratch and claw for every point and I didn't see that from our team in this competition. I do expect to see it going forward."

The dual began at 125 pounds where MU's third-ranked Alan Waters dropped OU's No. 8-ranked Jarrod Patterson, 7-0. Waters had a takedown, reversal and 3-point nearfall to give the Tigers a 3-0 advantage.

At 133 pounds, the Tigers' Nathan McCormick, ranked No. 8, added to Missouri's lead after he downed OU's Jordan Keller, 5-3, in the 133 pound bout. Keller held a 2-0 advantage in the second after reversing McCormick but was reversed by McCormick in the second and third periods.

OU's Kendric Maple got the Sooners on the board after the nation's third-ranked 141 pounder earned a fall in 6:21 to knot the team score at six. Prior to the fall, Maple acquired six takedowns, an escape and 2-point nearfall.

The Tigers leaped ahead, 9-6, after Kyle Bradley upset OU's 11th-ranked Nick Lester in the 149 pound bout. After three periods, neither wrestler acquired a point, but in sudden-victory overtime Bradley earned a takedown to take the win.

Matt Lester, ranked No. 14, evened the team score again after he downed MU's No. 15-ranked Drake Houdashelt, 6-1. Lester held a 5-0 lead after the first and added an escape in the third to close-out the bout.

OU held its only lead, 12-9, after Bubby Graham downed Missouri's Zach Toal at 165 pounds, 4-3. The bout was tied after the second period, 2-2. In the third, Toal earned an escape to gain the lead, but Graham took down Toal with 0:38 remaining to take the bout.

The Tigers went on to win the next four bouts of the dual to run away with the victory.

At 174 pounds, 18th-ranked Dorian Henderson earned a major decision victory over OU's Kyle Detmer, 11-0, to push MU ahead, 13-12.

At 184 pounds, OU's Erich Schmidtke was pinned by MU's Mike Larson, ranked No. 15. Haynes catapulted MU to a 19-12 advantage.

Eleventh-ranked Brent Haynes earned a decision over OU's Keldrick Hall in the 197 pound battle, 6-3.

At heavyweight, MU's Devin Mellon closed out action with a 3-2 victory over OU's Kyle Colling.

Cody's squad will head to Ithaca, N.Y., to compete in the 2012 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. There the Sooners will compete against the likes of Cornell, Central Michigan, Illinois, Purdue and American University.
