NORMAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma women's gymnast Megan Ferguson was named Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week for the fourth straight week, announced by the conference Tuesday.

Ferguson won all three event titles she competed Friday in OU's win over No. 21 Michigan and TWU.

Ferguson won the beam title Friday with her career-high 9.975 on the event.  The senior became the first gymnast this season to score a 9.975 on beam.

Ferguson also won the bar and floor titles Friday, with scores of 9.925 on each apparatus.

In the latest NCAA rankings released Monday, Ferguson moved up to No. 1 in the country on beam, No. 2 on floor and No. 3 on bars.  The Olathe, Kan., native has scored a 9.9 or better 15 times this season, including 12 of her last 15 routines.

An OU gymnast has won the weekly Event Specialist award in all eight weeks of the season, while Ferguson has won the last four, an OU record.

Ferguson and the Sooners host the reigning national champion and current fifth-ranked Alabama, Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m. for Senior Night at the Lloyd Noble Center.

During Alabama's last trip to Norman in 2010, OU scored a program record 197.950 to upset the then-ranked No. 1 Crimson Tide while the fans set the program attendance record.

The first 1,500 fans at Friday's meet will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of the OU IT store.  Additionally, the OU IT Store will be giving away an Xbox while the first 250 fans will receive an exclusive fan banner.
OU will honor seniors Candace Cindell, Ferguson, Natasha Kelley and Sara Stone in a special ceremony following the meet.
