Baseball Hosts "Meet The Sooners" Thursday

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma baseball program will host a "Meet the Sooners" event on Thursday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at a Sooner practice and an opportunity to purchase season tickets. It marks the third consecutive year for the event.
The event will run from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and will feature a meet and greet with players and coaches, autographs with the 2012 posters and schedule cards, and an opportunity to be on the field during batting practice.
Fans will also have the first opportunity to see the two new rows of chair back seats that were currently installed in the offseason at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The new capacity at the park is listed at 3,180.
"I think this has become a special event not only for our fans, but also our players," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "It will especially be special for everyone that has not seen the renovations to L. Dale Mitchell Park."
OU opens the home portion of the 2012 schedule on Friday at 3 p.m. in the first of three games against Hartford. Saturday's game is set for 2 p.m. and Sunday's finale is slated for 1 p.m.

Facility Renovations
The baseball team hosts 30 games at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, including Big 12 series with Texas, Kansas State, Missouri and Baylor and non-conference games with Air Force, Oral Roberts, Arkansas, Dallas Baptist and TCU.
Grand Slam Ticket Package
OU baseball fans can pick any four games off the 2012 schedule and pay a sale price of $32. The $8 ticket for each game includes the reserved chair back seats, originally priced at $12 per game.

Group Tickets | More Information
Discounted group tickets are available for $4 for groups of 10-99. Groups of 100 or more are eligible for $3 tickets. For the Bedlam game in Norman on April 5, 2011 all groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each. Limits may be imposed based on availability.
