NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team has announced the inaugural VolleyRun for children ages 5-13 on Saturday, Oct. 15. Check-in runs from 4:30-5 p.m. CT at the John Jacobs Track on the University of Oklahoma campus.
Prior registration for the event is required at SoonerSports.com before the 5 p.m. CT October 14th deadline. The event is $7 per person and includes registration for the VolleyRun, admission to the OU-Kansas volleyball match that evening at 7 p.m. CT and a water bottle.

The first wave is a 60-meter sprint for children ages 5-7 beginning at 5:15 p.m. A 100-meter sprint begins at 5:45 for children ages 8-10, and children ages 11-13 participate in a 200-meter sprint beginning at 6:15 p.m. CT. Following a cool down and stretch period, participants can make their way to McCasland Field House for the Sooners volleyball match.
The event is in conjunction with the Sooner Jr. Program, an initiative that promotes the acronym, F.A.N.S., -- fitness fun, academics, nutrition and sportsmanship.
