The second-ranked Sooners took home their third-straight Big 12 championship, sweeping all four team event titles on its way to posting the highest score by a Big 12 Champion since 2001 with a 197.175. An OU gymnast took home at least a share of each individual title as well.  Senior Hollie Vise won the bars and beam titles with a 9.9 and 9.925 respectively, while sharing the floor championship with teammate Jackie Flanery (both scored a 9.9 on the event). Flanery also won the vault championship, sharing the title with teammates Brie Olson and Natalie Ratcliff after the trio posted 9.9s on the apparatus. Host Nebraska finished in second behind the Sooners with a 196.625. Following the meet head coach K.J. Kindler was named Big 12 Coach of the Year while RS-freshman Natasha Kelley was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.

Host Oklahoma won the 2008 Big 12 title after posting its second-highest vault score of the season to jump from third place to first with a 195.875, just one-tenth ahead of Iowa State at 195.775. Performing the final routine of the night and needing a 9.875 or better for an Oklahoma win, Redmond-Sturms posted a 9.95 on vault as the Sooners clinched their second Big 12 title and first since 2004. It was Oklahoma's first Big 12 crown in front of the home crowd, as OU won the 2004 title at Iowa State. OU head coach K.J. Kindler was named the 2008 Big 12 Coach of the Year and senior Kiara Redmond-Sturms was named the conference's Gymnast of the Year.

  February 22, 2011  Road Warriors

The OU gymnasts head to Ann Arbor, Mich., this weekend to face No. 8 Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m.

The Sooners hope they can continue their recent road success on Saturday in their final regular season road meet of 2011.

Four of OU's five highest scores this season have come away from Norman, including its season-high score of 197.225.  OU became the first team in the NCAA to break the 197 mark on the road this season with the 197.225 as OU beat Iowa State in Ames.

The Sooners have the second-highest road score average out of the current top 10 teams in the NCAA, trailing only top-ranked Florida.  Here's a look at the top 10 road averages:

Top 10 Teams by Road Average
RANK TEAM Road Average

The loss snapped a near three-year winning streak at Crisler Arena dating back to March 22, 2008.
