NORMAN, Okla. -- Throughout the summer, SoonerSports.com will bring fans weekly updates of current Sooners competing in the numerous summer baseball leagues around the country. Fans can also access information on former Sooners playing in Major League Baseball and its minor league affiliates.

SUMMER COLLEGIATE LEAGUES
Drew Krittenbrink and Jake Smith have helped the Arvada Colts ascend to first place at 21-4 in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. Krittenbrink has tossed 11.1 scoreless innings in his 10 relief appearances. He has not registered a decision and has a 0.00 ERA while giving up four base hits. Smith has played in 17 games and driven in 15 RBI off nine hits.

In the Far West League, Tanner Toal has played in four games with the Redding Colt 45's and has four base hits, including a home run, and eight RBI.

Cale Coshow is 1-1 with a 0.65 ERA for the Nashville Outlawas in the Prospect League. Coshow has made 10 appearances, including one start, and has not given up an earned run in his last five outings.
 
OKLAHOMA IN THE MINORS
In last week's update, Ryan Duke and Tyson Seng made their professional debuts. This week, four other Sooners off the 2011 roster appeared in their first pro game. That group included Elliott Blair, Garrett Buechele, Chris Ellison and Cameron Seitzer. Blair, Buechele and Seitzer all collected base hits in their first games, while Ellison has eight hits in the last five games. Buechele has six hits in five games and Seitzer has nine base hits in his six games played.
 
In Class AAA with the Colorado Rockies, Ryan Rohlinger was 5-for-12 with four RBIs over the weekend with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Rohlinger has hit safely in eight of the last 10 games with 10 hits and seven RBI in that span. He is hitting .250 in 18 games with the Sky Sox, incluidng 15 hits and 12 RBI.
 
OKLAHOMA IN THE MAJORS
On Sunday, June 26, Jason Bartlett started a two-out rally for the San Diego Padres to help defeat the Atlanta Braves, 4-1. Bartlett's two-out single late in the game tied the contest at one and was the start of a four-run inning for the Padres. Bartlett has hit safely in six of the last 10 games, including Sunday's 2-for-4 performance. He is hitting .253 on the season as San Diego's everday shortstop witih 21 RBI and 15 stolen bases.

Daniel McCutchen continues to post impressive numbers out of the Pittsburgh Pirates' bullpen. Over the weekend, McCutchen appeared in all three games against the Boston Red Sox and posted three scoreless outings. McCutchen gave up just two hits in the three appearances, spanning 2 1/3 innings, as the Pirates took two out of three at home against the Red Sox. The Norman native has seven scoreless outings in June and is 2-1 on the season with a 2.25 ERA in 32 appearances (40 innings).
