NORMAN, Okla. - The 26th-ranked Oklahoma men's tennis team hosts Oklahoma State on Wednesday, April 6 at the Headington Family Tennis Center. The Bedlam showdown is the second of the year and will begin at 5 p.m. in Norman.

OU took the first Bedlam edition, 4-3, in Tulsa back on Feb. 25. Roddick and his Sooners are 3-0 against the Cowboys since his arrival in Norman.

The Sooners (11-4, 1-1 Big 12) have won nine of their last 11 matches and are coming off a 4-3 victory over regional foe Tulsa last Tuesday. The win came after OU came from behind to defeat then-No. 4 Texas, 4-3, on March 25 before falling to then-sixth-ranked Texas A&M, 5-2, on March 27.

Oklahoma State (3-9, 0-3 Big 12) has lost four straight and has earned three wins on the year over Oral Roberts, UNLV and Sacramento State.

The Sooners are led by senior Ionut Beleleu and reigning All-American Costin Paval. Beleleu, a native of Romania, is ranked No. 30 nationally. Fellow Romanian Paval checks in at No. 79. Paval and Peerakit Siributwong are ranked No. 42 in doubles.

Oklahoma State is led by 72nd-ranked Maniel Bains in singles. The Cowboys have two ranked doubles squads and are led by Aleksey Bessonov and Rifat Biktyakov who comprise the 18th-ranked tandem, while Bains and Eric West are ranked No. 74.

PAVAL THE LEADER

Last year's Big 12 Newcomer of the Year started off the year winning nine in a row before falling to Virginia's second-ranked Alex Domijan on March 18. The Sooner is now 10-4 and is ranked No. 79.

NEWCOMER ALERT
Roddick's squad has seen four newcomers compete in the singles lineup this year. Laurentiu Gavrila has been steady at the No. 3 position, while Peerakit Siributwong is 5-4 at the No. 4 spot and 3-0 at No. 3. Tsvetan Mihov (9-6) has been instrumental for the Sooners, while Harry Warden has filled in at the No. 5 and 6 spots.

DOUBLES LINEUPS
Oklahoma has tried nine different doubles tandems throughout the season and have won a total of eight doubles points.

GAVRILA THE GREAT
Laurentiu Gavrila, a Romanian native, comes to Norman with a multitude of accolades to his name, including a career-high ATP, Associated of Tennis Professionals, singles ranking of 888. In doubles Gavrila was ranked as high as 721 in the world. Gavrila has been key for OU at the No. 3 spot where he boasts a 7-5 record (8-6 overall).

The Sooners are coming off a 4-3 victory over regional foe Tulsa last Tuesday.
