NORMAN, Okla. -- No. 11 Texas A&M handed No. 2 Oklahoma a 11-1 defeat in front of 1,985 fans at L. Dale Mitchell Park on Saturday to even the best-of-three Big 12 series.

The Aggies outhit the Sooners 19-7 and received multiple-hit games from seven of the starters in the lineup. Aggie starter Michael Wacha (3-1) pitched his first career complete game, giving up one earned run on seven hits while striking out eight.

"It was a long, frustrating day, but it's just one game," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "We'll just come back tomorrow, put in a good pregame and try and get some work done, and get some guys better."

After being blanked in nine innings on Friday, Texas A&M wasted little time in game two, plating a run in the first off OU starter Dillon Overton, and another pair of scores in the second inning. Overton (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season.

Bobby Shore was the first Sooner to relieve Overton, but he was ineffective, giving up three straight singles, and being charged with three runs and zero outs recorded.

Tyson Seng entered the ball game and pitched a season-high 3.2 innings, surrendering three Aggie runs (all earned) on seven hits. Ryan Gibson gave up two more runs to A&M, the visitor's final two of the game.

The Sooners got on the board in the bottom half of the seventh. Cody Reine scored OU's lone run of the game off of a Caleb Bushyhead RBI single. Bushyhead tied a career-high with three hits. Garrett Buechele picked up his 11th multi-hit game of the season with a single and double.

"You are not going to win if you don't score runs, no matter how you pitch," added Golloway. "I think the fact that the series is even right now, is something that we're extremely fortunate of. We still have a chance to win the series, and that's despite being really, really bad offensively right now."

OU and Texas A&M return to action at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The teams have entered the series finale after splitting the first two games in 10 of the 15 Big 12 series meetings. In that scenario, the Sooners have won the last five decisive game threes.

The Sooner Sports Network is providing complete coverage of the weekend. All three games are broadcast live on KREF 1400 AM and televised live on Cox Ch. 3 in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
