Oklahoma lost three consecutive games for the first time since dropping its final two regular season games of the 2007-08 season and then an overtime contest with Missouri in the first round of the Big 12 Championship.
Oklahoma's trio of starting guards – Aaryn Ellenberg, Whitney Hand and Morgan Hook – accounted for 52 points but also had 15 turnovers. Ten turnovers amongst the group occurred in the second half with eight of the team's total occurring in the final 10 minutes.
AARYN ELLENBERG
Aaryn Ellenberg scored a season-high 28 points, including 20 in the first half. Ellenberg has led the Sooners in scoring in each of its six games played this season.
It was the 26th consecutive game Aaryn Ellenberg made a 3-pointer, extended her OU record.
Ellenberg's eight 3-pointers made was a personal career best. Ellenberg made six 3-pointers (6-of-12) in the first half, just one shy of her previous single-game record of seven.
Ellenberg has 118 career 3-pointers and is 10 shy of making OU's top 10 career list in the category.
WHITNEY HAND
Whitney Hand scored 16 points, making a season-high seven field goals. Hand, however, continued to struggle from the 3-point line, missing on all four attempts. From beyond the arc, Hand is 2-of-22 on 3-pointers since opening the season with a 4-for-5 performance versus Sacramento State.
Hand matched a career single-game best with seven assists.
Hand played the full 40 minutes of regulation for the fifth time in her career and third since returning to the court in January 2011 following her ACL surgery.
JOANNA MCFARLAND
McFarland recorded double-digit rebounds for the third straight game, and fourth in six games, with 10 Thursday.
