After New Mexico shot 53.6 percent (15-of-28) in the first half and made 6-of-10 3's, Oklahoma tightened the defense in the second period. Often using a 2-2-1 press, the Sooners held the Lobos to 28 percent (7-of-25) in the second half and allowed no 3-pointers.

The Sooners counted 14 steals and scored 25 points off 23 Lobo turnovers. Conversely, New Mexico scored just six points off nine Oklahoma turnovers.

OU rallied from an eight-point deficit, but trailed by as many as 12 points with 1:12 remaining in the first half. Sharane Campbell gave Oklahoma its first lead of the second half on free throws with 4:31 to play.

SHARANE CAMPBELL
Campbell scored eight points, all in the second half, and scored seven of those consecutively to give OU its first lead of the second half and then its largest lead of the game (four points) with 3:42 remaining.

AARYN ELLENBERG
Ellenberg led the Sooners in scoring for the second time in two games this season with 14 points. Ellenberg also had a game-high four steals.

WHITNEY HAND
Hand had one of the worst shooting performances of her career with a 3-for-17 output that included an 0-for-7 3-point clip, but scored the game winner after recovering from her own missed jumper to convert a pull-up jumper at the free throw line with 18 seconds left in the game.

MORGAN HOOK
The Sooners' point guard had 9 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists and just one turnover in her second game replacing two-time All-American Danielle Robinson at the position.

JOANNA MCFARLAND
McFarland matched a game-high with 13 rebounds, including the offensive board that assisted OU's game-winning shot and the defensive board that sealed the victory.
