Head Coach Bob Stoops |
On the Kansas offense:
"Early on I didn't feel we tackled well or were as physical as we needed to be. They (Kansas) got some yards on us but at the end of the day, they end up with negative yards in the second half. They've been averaging 400 and 35 points a game so I think we handled it pretty well."
On Kansas' second touchdown:
"I don't want to call it a fluke play because that doesn't respect what they were able to do, but I would say it was a strange play with the quarterback scrambling around. He (Jordan Webb) did a great job and made a big play on us and I have to give him credit for it."
On the Jayhawks defense:
"They have played at home better than they have played on the road but they have been through some tough spots with having to change coordinators at the end of spring. Now, a couple of games they have played on the road against undefeated teams has been tough for them, but all year they have been better at home."

Junior QB Landry Jones |
On making the pass to Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles to break receiving record:
"He deserved it. He's a great guy, a great player. He did a good job running by (the defense) and I made a good throw tonight and put it out there for him."
On Kansas:
"Kansas is a good team. They did a good job and their defense played hard. They came out here and they played well at home."
On what it feels like to not be performing at the highest level and still win the game:
"It just shows our resiliency that we can play in an ugly game and win against a good football team. Obviously we want to be better but a win is a win and we are always happy with that."
On what the BCS standings will be the following day of the game:
"It only matters at the end of the year. Whether we're ranked where we are or we drop. We are still going to play ball. It'd be nice to be ranked high and it'd be nice to be ranked number one, but at the end of the year, that's when we'll know the true number one team in the country and we're just trying to take it game by game right now."
On Oklahoma's expectations before the game:
"We just planned to come here and play good football. Tonight we might not have played as well as we wanted to but we got the win. That's always what we're shooting for and we'll hang our hat on that."

Senior WR Ryan Broyles |
On the reaction from the sideline:
"Everyone was just congratulating me, saying I put in good work and it paid off for me."
On having a good connection with quarter back Landry Jones:
"I feel like different games call for different players to make big plays-today was one of those days for me. It's going to be on and off throughout the season and won't be consistent with just one guy, just whatever the coverage calls for."
On Oklahoma's red zone offense:
"That's something we've been trying to work on. When we play against better competitors we definitely need to finish in the red zone."
On whether it was Kansas defense or Oklahoma problems in the red zone:
"It was more us. We feel like every time we get on the field and we aren't scoring points, it's because of us. I'm sure they've done something we weren't used to, but honestly, I believe that if we're going to be stopped, it's because of us."
