COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – OU Freshman Chris Stehl is set to compete in the 2010 U.S. Men's Qualifier, July 10, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Men's Qualifier is the last opportunity for the country's male gymnasts to qualify for the 2010 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics' national championships, in Hartford, Conn., Aug. 10-14.

The field includes a combination of men vying for berths to the Visa Championships and gymnasts who have already qualified and are using the Qualifier as a tune-up for the Visa Championships.

The Men's Qualifier has two sessions, 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. MT. No awards will be presented at the Qualifier. For the senior division, the top 21 gymnasts using the Men's Program Committee 20-point system will advance to the Visa Championships, and additional athletes may be selected as needed to complete the 42-man Visa Championships field. The top six age-eligible juniors will qualify for the Visa Championships, and any additional spots for the 42-man junior field will be filled based on the Qualifier results.

The 2010 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics' national championships, features the country's best gymnasts vying for national titles and spots on the U.S. National Team. Men's and women's gymnastics will be held at the XL Center, with rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling staged at the University of Hartford's Chase Arena.
