One of the most popular traditions surrounding OU football is Meet the Sooners Day. The annual event kicks off preseason practice and gives Sooner fans an opportunity to interact with the players and coaches. The 2010 Meet the Sooners Day is slated for Friday, Aug. 6 at the rugby practice fields west of Lloyd Noble Center.
OU Announces Meet the Sooners Day for August 6
JUST ONE MONTH AWAY
Hard to believe but Oklahoma football is just over a month away. The Sooners begin preseason practice the first week of August. Here's a quick look at the preseason college football magazines:

From
Sports Illustrated: " I have no problem with someone taking a stab on a sleeper team, and the Sooners -- coming off a deceiving five-loss season (three came by a field goal or less) in which they seemed to gel at the end (crushing Oklahoma State 27-0 and putting up 477 yards on Stanford in the Sun Bowl) -- could..."

From College Football News: "Oklahoma doesn't lose in the state of Oklahoma, and there are only three of the seven in-state games that'll provide any sort of an issue: Florida State, Texas Tech, and at Oklahoma State. The Sooners will win those three, or will lose one of them, at worst. Going to Cincinnati isn't like going to..."
