MIRAMAR, Fla. — Brittany Borman finished fourth in the javelin for Team USA Sunday at the U-23 NACAC Championships in Miramar, Fla., as the American side finished first in the competition with 74 medals including two gold medals from OU's Karen Shump (shot put) and Ronnie Ash (110-meter hurdles) on Friday.

Borman, who finished second in the event at the NCAA Championships, ended competition with a top throw of 164-1 (50.02). The distance came on the sixth and final attempt for the soon-to-be junior who had a season best of 173-11 (53.00) this year. Canada's Elizabeth Gleadle won the event with a throw of 176-3 (53.72).
