LAWRENCE, Kan. --
Tyler Ogle delivered a bases-loaded, two-out double in the ninth inning to give the No. 15 Sooners an 8-7 victory at Kansas on Saturday.

Oklahoma trailed 7-4 heading into the final frame but recorded its 21st comeback win of the season, including the fifth when trailing after seven innings.

Chris Ellison started the rally with a one-out drag bunt that was good for a base hit and later scored on Garrett Buechele's fourth RBI of the game on a single up the middle. Caleb Bushyhead walked before the Buechele hit and Cameron Seitzer followed with a single through the right side to load the bases for Ogle, who delivered on a 3-2 fastball with a double to the gap.

"When it got to be a full count, I was just sitting dead red fastbaIl and he happened to throw it right where I was looking," said Ogle on the game-winning hit. "I was just fortunate enough to come through and get it to the next guy."

The win improved the Sooners' overall mark to 41-14 and 14-10 in Big 12 play while Kansas fell 31-23-1 and 11-14-1. OU claimed its seventh Big 12 series victory of 2010 for the second straight year and won its first three-game set over the Jayhawks since 2006.

"Really proud of the comeback. We had some really tough at-bats late in the game, one guy after another," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "The mental toughness is really showing through late in the year."

The comeback wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the relief performance by J.R. Robinson, who improved to 2-3. The Sooner lefty recorded the win with five scoreless innings and six strikeouts. All six of his strikeouts came in succession starting in the sixth inning and ending in the eighth.

"Let's not forget the tremendous job J.R. Robinson did," added Golloway. "We're behind and just kind of clipping back, clipping back, and he keeps us right there. He keeps us within a shot of getting there, and we took that shot in the ninth."

Robinson came in after Jack Mayfield had his shortest start of the year with four earned runs allowed off eight hits in three innings. However, the Sooner bullpen delivered again with its 16th win and Jeremy Erben followed with his second save of the year. Robinson and Erben combined to allow just three hits and three walks over the final six innings.

Kansas' Colton Murray took the loss after giving up the final two runs and four hits. The Jayhawks' pen gave up four runs and five hits after starter Cameron Selik went seven innings with four runs allowed.

For the seventh time in the last eight games, but just sixth on the season in Big 12 play, OU scored the game's initial run. Bushyhead extended his hitting streak to 17 games with a double to left in the first inning and after he reached third on a passed ball, he came home on Buechele's RBI groundout.

In the bottom of the first, KU answered with four runs, as the final three were unearned after a Cameron Seitzer error on a fielder's choice.

The Jayhawks extended their 4-2 lead to five runs in the bottom of the fourth. A triple by Brian Heere ultimately sealed Mayfield's outing with a two-run triple during that three-run inning.

Buechele posted his third RBI of the game after leading off the sixth with his 13th home run of the season. The blast, which cut the lead to 7-3, marked the 13th straight game that the Sooners have had at least one homer.

Seitzer made up for the error in first with a 3-for-5 evening to lead the team in hits while Buechele had a game-high four RBIs, his fifth outing of 2010 to feature four or more RBIs in a game.

Sunday's series finale is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch and can be heard on the Sooner Sports Network, KREF 1400 AM following the 11 a.m. OU softball game in the NCAA Regional Championship at Maryland.
