COLLEGE STATION, Texas --
Junior closer Ryan Duke held Texas A&M scoreless in his 4 2/3 innings pitched and Cameron Seitzer delivered a RBI double in the 13th inning as No. 17 Oklahoma won 6-5 and evened the three-game series on Saturday.

"Great college baseball game on both sides," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "You have to tip your cap to every student-athlete that participated. There was a lot of courage on the mound from our side and their side. Guys were staying in there and battling their tail off."

Sunday's decisive finale between Oklahoma (28-11, 7-8 Big 12) and Texas A&M (22-15-1, 7-9-1) is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch and will broadcast live on the Sooner Sports Network (KREF 1400 AM). The contest will also be televised on Fox College Sports with Dan McLaughlin and Keith Moreland calling the action. Saturday's game was the seventh extra-inning game in the all-time series and the longest game in over 50 meetings. It was also the longest game for OU in the Golloway era. The 13-inning game was the longest for the Sooners since a 14-inning affair in the Bedlam series in 2002.

"Tomorrow is going to be a dog fight," said Golloway, who is 16-3-1 in extra innings as the Sooners' skipper. "You have two really good college baseball teams that just haven't had things go their way (as of late), battling for position in the standings."

Duke (1-1), who leads the Big 12 with 10 saves, entered the game tied in the bottom of the ninth. Duke tossed his longest outing of the season and threw the most pitches (80) since starting on Sunday's as a freshman in 2008.

"He's terrific for us. He is a battler," said Golloway. "We had a right-hander and a left-hander going in the pen that we probably would have liked to match up late in the game, but you can't take it away from a guy like Duke."

The extra-inning win would not have been possible if Garrett Buechele (3-for-5, two RBI), who in the first inning extended his hitting streak to 11 games, hadn't tied the game at five in the ninth after he drove in two runs with a single to right field.

"We showed character. We come back and tie the ball game up," added Golloway. "We had some quality at bats. Guys are just grinding it and doing everything they can to find a way."

For the second straight game and 13th time in Big 12 play for Oklahoma, the opposition took the game's first lead. A pair of RBI singles in the first inning by Brodie Green and Adam Smith gave the Aggies a 2-0 lead after one inning of action.

"I think after 15 games (in Big 12 play), we've had the lead (early) in two," said Golloway. "That's not going to be acceptable. We have to come out and punch better early on and get the lead first."

Senior captain Ross Hubbard (2-for-4, two RBI) countered for the Sooners in the top of the second and delivered a two-out, solo home run to right field. The long ball was the second of the year for Hubbard and the 50th for the Sooners, a Big 12 best.

The two-out hits continued for OU in the third as Seitzer's (2-for-6, two RBI) run-scoring single through the right side of the infield plated Eric Ross, who reached earlier on a fielder's choice and stole second base.

Texas A&M regained the two-run advantage on Smith's two-run homer to centerfield in the third.

Once again, Hubbard responded with his second homer of the game, another solo shot with two outs in the sixth inning. The two-home run game was the first of his career and it gave OU its 15th multiple-homer game of the season.

Zach Neal lasted seven innings and allowed four runs off four hits and zero walks in the start. Neal struck out seven batters while his opposition, Ross Stripling struck out a career-high 11 batters. The Aggies' starter lasted 6 1/3 innings and gave up three runs off seven hits and three walks.
